About Dr. Mekhail:

Karim is a tenured Full Professor at the University of Toronto. He has been recognized with many honors and awards, including the Royal Society of Canada membership, the Canada Governor General Gold Medal in the Sciences, the Maud-Menten Investigator Prize, the Lap-Chee Tsui Prize, and the Ontario Early Researcher Award. Karim joined the University of Toronto after completing his postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
